Mill Operator Job Description

• Offload and hand stack steel tubing manually into carts per customer orders
• Conduct visual inspection to detect and remove defective products
• Stack and band according to customer specifications
• Identify butt welds and maintain coolant flow
• Measure tube length and inspect for defects
• Complete required paperwork and operate chop saw to cut scrap

Requirements:

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30-50 lbs

Job Summary

Looking for an energetic Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in a Tube Mill. Candidate must have an in-depth understanding of general maintenance practices including mechanical and electrical systems.

Job Requirements:

• Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Must have familiarity working with electrical systems up to 480v.
• Requires ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Fluent working knowledge of PLC Logic (Preferably RSLogix 500 experience)
• Fluent working knowledge of Mill drive controllers and ladder logic programming.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and PLC experience, preferred but not required.
